There are thousands of people in America who would love to adopt a child from China or another country.
What I didn’t know is that adoption lists aren’t just for healthy children.
There are also lists of people hoping to adopt a child with medical challenges that range from Down syndrome to Dwarfism.
What I would like to remind those prospective parents of is that there are numerous children needing adoption with the less well-known illness called thalassemia.
That’s why I decided to interview someone who has had experience with adopting a special needs child.
Lynzie Cammilleri and her husband Joe adopted their son Cai from China when he was just four years old.
When Cai joined Lynzie and Joe’s two natural born children, Callie and Corbyn, back home in America all of their lives changed dramatically.
Please watch our conversation to learn more about the adoption process and how to make an internationally adopted child’s assimilation easier.
What To Know Before You Adopt A Child From China
Lynzie’s website is: http://cammiclan.blogspot.com. She let me know that the best site to view children waiting to be adopted, according to disease state, is: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/AdvocateforWC/info.
